Matt and I have been married for 2 whole months now.  WOO HOO!  Break out the bubbly.  Okay that might be pushing it a bit.  ha!  I think I have convinced him to go to dinner tonight.  YAY!  I mean it is our TWO MONTHIVERSAY and all.  Plus if we go anywhere near the mall I am going to stop and pick up the new shoes I’ve been eyeing for a couple of weeks.  They are a little pricey but home-girl got a raise today.  Watch out!  It really isn’t very much and I know I should be grateful but…..I already feel pretty underpaid so, yeah.

If we do happen to run by the mall I’m sure I will be sporting my new awesome Calvin Klein’s tomorrow.  If that is the case I will take pics.  They are super adorable.

    Happy Monthiversary Matt!

  • I’m falling apart! It’s official!

I’ve been married less then 2 months and I am already falling apart.  More so now then before.   I blame Matt.  🙂  When we first got back he had some random cough that caused him to sleep on the couch the first week of marriage.  Poor thing would wake up in the middle of the night having coughing fits and would go downstairs so I could sleep.  A few days later I got said cough.  Thankfully mine didn’t last as long as his did and I didn’t sleep on the couch.  I know I’m a bad wife. hehe.

Then a few weeks ago I had some random throat thing.  Who knows what the hell that mess was.  It was awful and I wanted to pull my tonsils out.  It probably wouldn’t have hurt that bad.  A doctor visit and a week of antibiotics later I finally started feel better.  Granted my throat started to feel better a day or so after I started the meds but it was still funky, even after I finished the antibiotics.

Now I have a bladder infection.  If you’ve never had one let me just say you are lucky.  They are the devil.  Seriously they suck!  It started on Saturday but I pushed through.  Sunday I got some over the counter meds but those didn’t do much and by this morning I was done.  My regular doc was booked till tomorrow afternoon and I knew I couldn’t make it that long.  I called my old place and they were able to get me in first thing this morning.  Thank goodness!  PLUS, I was in and out by 9am.  This is no small feat considering I stopped going there because it would normally take me and hour plus for the most basic things.  I personally blame the office manager.   But whatever, I was able to see a doc, get meds and get the hell out of there in 30 mins.  I will consider the whole appointment a success.

The doc told me to wait on the test results before filling my antibiotics but I didn’t bother to wait.  I knew what was wrong so I stopped by CVS before coming in to work.  Now I am finally starting to feel better.  It’s amazing what one little pill can do.  It might not hurt that I’ve also now taken 2 Excedrin.  My head is killing me.  Ughh!  I hate headaches.  They suck too!

Wow so that was way more then I expected to write about falling apart.  I guess this is what happens when I blog at work.  I seem to get lost in my head and the words just flow.  🙂  And now it’s just about that time to pack it up and head home!

    Till tomorrow!

  • Cirque

Saturday afternoon Matt and I went to a pig pickin’ in Chapel Hill before going to Cirque du Soleil.  For those of you not familiar with a pig pickin’, it is basically a BBQ only you grill a whole pig.  The cook out was nice and thankfully it wasn’t too hot that afternoon.  Around 6 we headed back to Raleigh to the RBC center.  When we finally parked and got to our seats we only had 10 – 15 mins before the show started.  I might have even sneaked a photo with my phone.  AHHH!  🙂  Cameras aren’t allowed.

The Alegria was pretty good.  And several of the acts were amazing.  I do think the first show I saw, Varekai was better.  It has been several years since I saw Varekai so who knows maybe I just hyped it up.  🙂  I would definitely recommend seeing a Cirque show if you’ve never seen one.  The performers are amazing and some of the things they do are really quite spectacular.

  • Foto Friday, Week 3

As promised this weeks Foto Friday should be better then last week.  Matt and I went to Sunset Beach over the weekend so I got some pretty decent pics at the beach.  Unfortunately my lens had a big ole spot so I had to do some creative editing.

This was from the car on our way down.

    I like clouds.

This was a huge jellyfish we saw washed up on the beach.

    The beach, of course.

    Happy Friday!

  • No, I am not…

This morning I had a doctor’s appointment.  Just your run of the mill appointment.  Well as soon as I got to work my co-worker immediately began asking me when I was due.  I repeated numerous times throughout the day that I was not pregnant.  This continued all. day. long!

Let me just say I am NOT pregnant.  Yet!

  • We’re over the fireplace!

This morning I got an email from Canvas on Demand saying my print had been shipped.  I checked the tracking number and it was out for delivery.  WOO HOO!  About 10:30 I got another email saying my package had been delivered.  I grabbed my key fob and headed downstairs.  I couldn’t find my package or anyone around so I headed back to my desk.  While I was running around one of the desk guys brought the box upstairs for me.

I opened the box and pulled the canvas out at my desk but just enough to check it out.  Then I put it back in the box.  I really didn’t want to leave it out.

Currently it is sitting on the fireplace mantel.  I’m not really sure what I want to with the mantel yet.  Suggestions are welcome. 🙂  Here are a few pics I just took with my phone.

So there are a few pics.  I know this arrangement sucks.  I foresee a shopping trip to Target soon. 😉

  • Anxiety sucks!

You know what sucks?  Monday disguised as Tuesday!  While I have to say I enjoyed the long weekend going back to work still sucks regardless of the day.

A long time ago, when I was 19, I was diagnosed with a Mitral Valve Prolapse.  Basically it means your heart valve doesn’t close all the way to stop the flow of blood to your heart.  With this can come anxiety.  For years I took medication to help my heart and my anxiety.  Well last year I went to a cardiologist who ran a bunch of tests and decided my valve wasn’t bad enough to meet the new MVP standards.  What does that mean you ask?  I had no idea.  Finally my GP explained it meant I no longer needed any medication.  Over the course of a few months last year I finally managed to stop taking any meds.  Honestly I wasn’t sure how it would go but since I knew Matt and I would be considering children soon it made sense and really I was ready.

Over the past few months I’ve only had a few instances where I started to feel anxious.  The doc gave me something I could take if I ever had an attack that I didn’t feel I could control.  I think I’ve done a really good job of trying not to take anything.  For the most part I do pretty well at getting myself through them.  Today was not one of those days.  As I was sitting at work this afternoon I started to feel my chest tighten up.  I could feel my heart beating and I felt as though I couldn’t breathe, like a weigh on my chest.  It was nothing too bad but I just couldn’t shake it.

I’m not really sure what brought it on.  It could have been the Zyrtec I took at lunch.  I haven’t taken any in a while and the psedu stuff can get me sometimes.  Needless to say that after feeling like this for a few hours I had to come home and take something.  Now I’m just sitting on the couch listening to music waiting for things to get back to normal.

  • Foto Friday – Week 2, it’s about a purse

Okay so this isn’t exactly Foto Friday like it should be but I’m at work so I don’t have access to the pics I took this week.  I am blogging at work today because Matt and I are headed to the beach in a little while.  I still have to go home and pack.  And well I’m not busy at work. 🙂

Super cute purse huh?  I know 🙂

Matt and I were at the outlets a few months ago when I found this adorable purse at the Nine West outlet.  I love Nine West.  I love their shoes, I love their purses and I love their sunglasses.  Most importantly Nine West pretty much fits into my budget at any given time.  Anyway so they had this purse in yellow or cantaloupe (?).  I almost got the cantaloupe color but decided the yellow would be a bit more neutral.  Not that I really care if things match.  Most of the time I don’t. HA!  So I picked up the cute yellow purse and I’ve been using it for a few months now.

Today at lunch I noticed a girl with a cute yellow purse and just now I noticed a co-worker with a yellow purse.  I can only assume that I am of course a fashionista and everyone wants to copy me. 🙂  No seriously I feel pretty sure I single handedly started this trend.  Thankfully all the purse makers followed my lead and now everyone can have super cute yellow purses.

    You are welcome people!

    Have a great holiday weekend!
